    1. If by "he pulled a groin muscle during his first year", you mean "he pulled his groin muscle completely off the bone and had to have it reattached to a different spot, then re-learn how to push and pull with the new muscle structure", then you'd have it about right.

    So you can understand why he's not quite the player we thought we were getting when we signed him to that big deal back when. Still, his comeback was impressive, given all that, and he played fine last year. I'd say he was the strongest member of the Panthers' interior line last season (I say that without having reviewed the games since January). But with Ryan Kalil (younger and cheaper) taking over center, and JH unwilling to play guard, we just didn't have a place for him anymore.

    Really, he's a fine player. You'd be foolish not to sign him, especially given what you dealt with last year.

          Hartwig doesn't appear to be a guy who would dramatically change the team's offensive line outlook, but he is a veteran with plenty of starting experience, and at one point a pretty dopey looking mohawk. Fan Gear http://pricelistreview.org
