Chess is really the ONLY game I play. If it weren't for Propeller, I'd be playing chess right now, probably.

Gotta agree with all three comments.
I enjoy chess, have a few basis skills and strategies, then scramble like hell. It's a game that involves a lot of pride and energy. I'd argue it's the most perfect contest ever devised, the only random element being who takes the first move. Even then the agressor signals his intentions. So the first move has it's price.
Perhaps a few posters here can correspond?

I read in the 72 match between Spascky and Fisher in one game due to the opening move the next 57 were mandatory or you would lose, on move 59 it became a free thinking game.
And if I spelt Spacky wrong we are allowed to as we beat them in hockey
