        'Alex Rodriguez hits 500th homer'

If Alex Rodriguez ever used steroids, this so-called record is Bogus, just like McQuire's, sammy 'the cork bat' Sosa, and the current frud Bob Bonds...

Just ask the authentic holder of the Baseball Home Run Record Hank Arron...

Is it fair to say, steroid users are Chearters and should Not be in the Baseball Hall Of Fame?

He hit 500. I saw it.Steroids are no excuse to take away a baseball player's achievements. If he took chicken soup stead of steroids would he be deserving of an award/record? Yes. Then if he lifted weights would that tarnish his achievements? No. The fact of the matter is baseball technology has improved. Bats are better. Baseballs go farther. The fences in ball parks have been shortened to make home runs easier.Babe Ruth is still the greatest home run hitter. He was one of the greatest pitchers to have hurled a baseball. Hank Aaron and Bonds are not in the same class as the Babe. The New York Yankees are a disgrace. They act like Nazi stormtroopers for the TV cameras. George Steinbrenner stinks.Read me here on netscape.net to find out truths about the World Trade Center that the Yankees don't want known because it will implicate them. Not absurd, not far fetched, not ridiculous, trust me, read me here on netscape.net. The Yankees are responsible for their acts. So is the Yes Network.

Please. Alex is not on roids. If he were he'd have 600 or 650 by now.

            I agree JoseMadre,

Unless you A-Rod Naysayers can prove otherwise, then you can't really say for sure that he's on steroids, he would be as big as Hulk Hogan if he were. He still looks the same as his rookie year in baseball. Unlike Barry Bonds for instance.

A-Rod does not use artificial steroids. He has no need. His body produces a greater abundance of testosterone naturally than the average man and even the average major league baseball player. The question now is: will his body continue to produce an over-abundance of testosterone for as long as Hank Aaron's body did?

The scientific community, as do most athletes, realize that the aging process is greatly affected by the body's natural reduction over time in the production of certain hormones. From this understanding will eventually come therapies that, at the very least, will enhance physical quality of life as people age and possibly even greatly extend life.

                'Alex Rodriguez hits 500th homer'

There has been some serious talk about him using steroids??? If interested, One might pursue an incident way back in his career?

If in Fact IF he used steroids the record of 500 home runs using Illegal substance means he is a Cheater like Mcquire, sammy the 'Cork Bat' salsa, and of course bob bonds...

limdose.. Your comment 'A-Rod does not use artificial steroids' is Rather Silly and Foolish unless you can back up your Post with FACTS...

You made the Comment, can you enlighten us all on how you are sure Alex Rodriguez Never Used the Illegal substance STEROIDS!!! Be Specific!!!

Hank Arron is the True Holder of the Most Home Runs Hit Under the Rules of Baseball, This Is A FACT...

If you have any questions just ask Hank Arron...

The BaseBall Hall Of Fame means when Cheaters are elected...

What is this "back it with facts" stuff? Hobe, let me ask you this, "Just when did you stop beating your wife?"

Have I personally watched A-Rod with my own eyes, from the day he went pro to today? Shucks, no! Gee, I'm sorry. That clearly makes me unqualified to make a statement.

You missed the point, knucklehead. The fact is that some people, particularly world class athletes, naturally generate more testosterone that the average Joe. I posited that someone like Hank Aaron naturally generated more, for a longer period of time, than even most world class athletes. Do I know this for a an absolute fact? NO! However, given the relative performance benefits artificial steroids seem to have (if they don't, then why is everyone squawking?), it seems a fair deduction that those who produce more naturally have an edge over those who don't.

I love Hank Aaron. I grew up in Wis when he was a Milwaukee Brave. Please don't get your knickers in a twist.

My point is that what athletes have clearly shown with their "illegal" use of artificial steroids is that those substances, natural or not, can improve performance and longevity in a sport. That has implications for the average Joe who may well be able to improve his longevity and quality of life, rather than passsively wait for his body to shut down as he ages.

All I am suggesting is that use of artificial steroids may well have benefits for some, and maybe many... in direct contradiction to the negative hysteria about them that seems to be universal.

That is a completely separate issue from whether someone cheated to get the home run title. In the scheme of things, the home run title is of exceedingly little importance to me.
