Why does rain and Wimbledon go hand in hand? BECAUSE IT'S IN F*****G ENGLAND!!!

I'm a brit living in England. What i can't understand about the rain and Wimboledon is that it happens every year so the logical thing would be to move it to anothe fortnight surely!!!

It always seemed to be raining while I attended school in London. One year (I think it was 1959) we had 334 days with precipitation. It was quite cool as well. I recall that we managed to squeeze both Spring and Summer into two weeks in May.
