Tim Hardaway is not in a position to judge. He's was born in this country and he can't even speak English. He sounds IGNORANT. He cannot conjugate verbs, but he wants to judge someone else. What a stupid fool!

So Tim Hardaway does not have the position to judge someone by thier beliefs or actions, but you have the right to judge someone based upon thier speech patterns? You alone carry the weight to decide an opinion based upon his use of language. Thank goodness that isn't considered a double-standard. Thanks for setting us straight as to who can voice an opinion and who can't. i will be sure to reserve my opinion of you as I am sure you wouldn't agree with that also.

My My I always though fredom of speech applied to every one, however i guess it does only when you beleive in the LIBERIAL AGENDA

Hating a person because he/she is gay is as wrong as hating a person because they are Black, or Jewish, or Muslim, or any other way people like to segregate other people.

As he is a black man, Tim Hardaway should be completely ashamed of himself.

Hating and/or judging someone for their actions(in this case homosexual activity) is not that same as hating someone for their race. It is absolutely absurd to compare the two.

I think stupidity and an uneducated perspective on gays' has got the best of Tim Hardaway. The whole subject on gay people is controversial as it is, he does not need to add fuel to an already burning gigantic fire. I myself have a personal perspective on gay people that I know to keep to myself, but if a gay guy were on my team and was scoring 20 points a game and grabbing 10 rebounds, then I would not care if he were gay or not, as long as he did his job.

What if the guy scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds wasn't gay, but instead liked 9 year-old boys? Would you still have that same stance? Would you still say to each his own? People's views on homosexuality vary as much as the weather. To state that Hardaway was stupid or un-informed for his views on gays isn't entirely correct either. He has a personal opinion about men who have sex with other men. It is his right to have that point of view, regardless of whether it agrees with your opinion, or for that fact the opinion of the NBA. If Hardaway was being compensated for any activities during All-Star week in Vegas, he has a collosal law suit in his arsenal. You can't fire someone for thier personal point of view, if it happens to disagree with yours.

as I said on the John Mellencamp thread, this guy's got the right to say whatever he wants. The NBA, his fellow players and everyone else who wants to has a right to throw their two cents worth in.

You state your opinion, and then you live with the consequences.

If it's okay for the right to demand that Chevy pull their ads with Mellencamp in them because he a left-wing whatever you want to lable it, then it should be okay for the left wing to demand that Hardaway be pulled because of his anti-gay stance.

Once again, everybody has the right to say what they want, and everybody else has the right to react the way THEY want.

Just looks like the left is a bit more organized and effective when it comes to the boycott thing.

I would like to point out that Tim Hardaway is not prejudicded. Prejudice literally means to pre-judge. If you are judging someone, or group, for some action or activity you know they are involved in(in this case homosexual activity) that's not pre-judging.

JUDGING SOMEONE BASED ON THEIR ACTIONS IS NOT PREJUDICE!!

THIS IS NOT AN OPINION, IT IS THE DEFINITION OF THE WORD!!

It's actually post-judging, judging after you find out what they are involved in. Why is this word so misunderstood???

Tim Hardaway should sue the NBA for prejudice against religious belief. Almost any Christian based religion is very clear on their stance about a man being with a man. To penalize somone for their religious beliefs and stance on the actions of mentaly ill is absurd. We should be trying to find a way to cure this illness instead of attacking the people speaking out against it in defense of their religion.

He didn't say anything about religion in his remarks. He made a personal statement. And the NBA has every right to fire a public personoae when that public person makes statements very publicly that the NBA does not support. There is not any grounds for law suit. If anything, the NBA has the right to sue for defamation of character.

What is the difference,if all of these gays would read the bible it is in black and white, that it is morally wrong and against god.Let me guess there is no god right! We all came from apes and tree's and wildlife just fell out of the sky. What you do on you own time is you business but I have 3 kids and I am tired of explaining evertime same sex issues are on tv,When I was growing up you din't so much as see a two piece swimsuit on T.V.But back on track about gays when I was growing up you hardley ever heard of gay people, now they are coming out of the woodwork.I think it is for attention if you ask me.and if we did come from apes, even they are smart enough to have sex with the opposit sex!!!!!!!

You are an idiot as well. Remember when black people had seperate drinking fountains? Was that a good time? No. Just because you are uncomfortable teaching your bigotry to your children, it doesn't mean that homosexuals are to blame.

I am happy to go back into the closet, but you first. When you stop kissing in public, holding hands in public, being affectionate in public, I will be more than happy to.

Tell me why he cant express his opinion about how he feels, but yet when all these homosexuals come out and express their opinion, people never say anything. Im not for homosexuality at all!!! They deserve NO RIGHTS!

Tim is just saying what people are thinking!

I wouldnt say I hate homosexuals but I hate how they live.

He has the right to express his opinion just like every other human being on this earth does!!

Who cares what race he is, white, black, spanish, asian, does not matter.

Color means nothing.

You cant say some one is a certain way because of their color.

that is idotic.

You are completely ignorant if you feel that homosexuals deserve no rights. I pay for your kids to go to school. I pay for you to have rights. I deserve the exact same rights as long as I pay taxes. Legality has nothing to do with approval. You are free to have your opinion of me as much as I am free to have my opinion of you. But the law is the law and it applies to everyone. Period.

It is not that they do not deserve rights. The plain and simple fact of the matter is they need help. They are mentaly ill and their illness is being ignored. It is very sad to be honest. If people would face what is going on here maybe we could find a cure for them. It's not bad enough the type of sin these people are commiting every minute of every day but add to that fact that so many others are allowing them to continue to sin the way they are by accepting them and what they are doing. Not that everyone are Christian but doesn't the Bible mean anything to anyone anymore? Just sad.

Your comments are so full of inaccuracies that they do not deserve a rebuttal. "Allowing them to continue to sin?" What world are you living in? This is not a Christian state! Freedom of religion is also freedom from religion. Keep your type of fascist dictator Christianity to yourself. Let the rest of us live in the real world.

This country was founded on religion. I bet you do not mind it being plastered all over the money you spend either do you? I also like how you did not comment on how it is a SICKNESS and a cure could probably be found if there was not so much ignorance concerning the matter. You do not like religion go live in a cave somwhere religion is everywhere. You think it is ok to let the sick remain that way and convince them they are normal? Well a cave is not good enough for you.

You're comments again are completely without merit. Homosexuality is not a disease. It is not a mental deficiency. That was established in the 1970's. You are the one who is sick. Bigotry is a sickness. You will not accept that there are people different from you in our country. That is what makes this country great. Differences. If everyone was a mindless sheep like you, our country would never progress. We would have died out like the Mayans or the Incas. By your logic, all people with "sickness" should be rounded up and put in a cave? Does that include the mentally handicapped? Does that include Jews? Does that include the physically handicapped?

And no, Darling, this country was not founded "on religion" as you so stupidly stated. It was founded on the fact that religion is a CHOICE!

It is NOT bigotry and I never said they should be rounded up and put into caves. I said if you want to live in America and be secluded from religion you will need to live in a cave. And it was never completely established that it was not a mental illness. The tests you refer to from the 70's were all inconsitent with each other and inconclusive. They could not say that it WAS but they also could not say it was not. Be careful what you quote.

Independant testing is finding new and interesting things also. You might want to open your mind to the CHANCE that maybe it is a sickness and then you might learn a thing or two. But you are too interested in being right to consider that.

I do not mind having a sesnible conversation about it at all, But the horrible lows you brought yourself down to in your last post make that a little dificult. You said some nasty things about the cave issue where if anyone actualy reads it I defended the sick. That was a sick twist there Hamy.
