    I took a look at this and thought it is a non-story story.

    But it got down to the part of "tax exempt" and I can sorta see possibilities. What I wish "they" had asked is why the cost of Higher Ed. seems to be increasing faster than anything else, except possibly healthcare.

        Actually, since it is our tax dollars that help the colleges to have a sports program, this is an actual story!

        Just why do some colleges pay their coaches MORE that many of the Pro-Teams?

        Sports are important, but not as important as the education that the students get while they are there!

        So why do the coaches sometimes make many times as much as the other instructors on the same college staff?

        From what I hear, sometimes the assistant coaches are making more than the regular college instructors?

        I guess the question is WHY?

        The better colleges, with the better degrees appear to get the better athletes, so why the big dollars?

        If the coach is not there for the students, then they should not be there just as any other college employee!

        What do you think?
