I cannot believe they scored twice in the last moments of the overtime. So disappointing. I really wanted Germany to win.

WOW! That's really amazing! Did you know that I have my own library card and that my dog pooped outside today? When is this crap going to be over so we don't have to pretend like we actually care about it any longer?

I agree with your statement. It's always hard to loose as the host country. But on the other hand the Italians where the better team. The Azzuri (The Blue)won today and isn't there some blue on the American flag on this fourth of July.

        Maybe a coincident.

I am German and I have to say, you can not only win on penalty kicks. Especially as bad as the Germans played in the last 3 minutes.

Afer all its only a game!

        Happy fourth of July

windjammer: there is red in the German and the American flag. So what's your point??

I'm sad! I'm german so of course I was for Germany. But they did well! So that's all I have to say about that.

It's just sad that the loss happened in the last few minutes. Two goals in such a short amount of time. It just wasn't the way I would have liked to see the game end.

I hope I did not offend you. But facts are facts. I would have seen the German team win too. The German team lost.

You have a point in your message too. Let's get over it.

                        It's already history.

I'm a fan of Italia so I'm thrilled to see them score a late goal in extra time. I was very worried that the two teams would have to do another penalty shoot out to decide the winner because Germany is so good with P.K. and Italy is just 2nd worst to England. The 2nd goal was a surprise. I think Germany conceded the 2nd goal because everyone was pushing forward, leaving nobody in defence. So unfortunately for them.

Amazing! What is the probability of having two goals in less than 2 minutes in a soccer match? Unbelievable, Italy's done it and qualified to the 2006 world cup final match. It is the first time for Italy since the days of Roberto Baggio.

                                    See the following interesting statistics:

                                    * Germany has never been able to beat Italy in all matches.

                                    * the number of goals in this tournament is the lowest in world cup history.

                                    * the number of red and yellow cards is the highest in world cup history.

                                    Regards.

This is so cool!! The game was boring during the regular time, but overtime saw a big improvement in the quality of the game.

I'm French, and I'm happy that Italy won because they will be easier to beat than Germany once we beat Portugal and get to the finals....XD France always had a problem beating germany, but beating Italy is far less problematic...

The germans played really well, but their defense is way to light...

I would much rather see a Semi-Final World Cup game won in the last moments of double overtime rather than a shoot out. Too bad for the Germans that they bailed the last two minutes of the game. Oobledegork, simmer down, your team still has one more game to win before they even make it to the finals, so you can start your trash talk then. And for all of you NON-Soccer fans… why are you even commenting if you don’t care about the sport???

Great game and both teams deserve praise. These are really magnificent football players and the match was in my opinion a premature final. The German were very strong-willed but the Italian football mastery prevailed.

Germany don't be disheartened you've got a great team. Kudos to Klinsman - without him I doubt it'd be possible.
